Because the jacket is the character. Daniel Lawson has dressed Elsbeth since her first appearance on The Good Wife in 2010, and in a May 2026 interview with The Credits, the Motion Picture Association’s site, he described her clothes as a tool she uses on suspects. “It’s her Trojan horse,” he said.
The same interview lists her colors as reds, pinks, oranges and purples, the brighter the better. The premiere mostly follows that. Two of the five logged jackets are pink and yellow. The other three are white, and each of those carries a pattern: embroidered vines, polka dots, a floral print.
